Black Mountain Machine started out with a single manual mill and one manual lathe and mainly concentrated on machine rebuilding. Since then we have expanded our production capabilities, to be able to compete with the best in the business. Black Mountain Machine strives to produce quality parts, and satisfy our customers.

Here at Black Mountain Machine we produce all sorts and varieties of parts. From prototypes to mass production. Ranging from plastics to hastelloy, to .050 diameter to 20" diameter, from 1 Pc. to 1,000,000 Pcs. At Black Mountain Machine we have a wide range of machines to produce whatever may come in front of us. We also have a tool room capable of producing just about anything.

1.0 Scope:

Black Mountain Machine and Tool, Inc. is located in Black Mountain, NC.

We apply our ISO 9001 based quality management system, at our facility, functions and support departments within our company.

The ISO 9001 based QMS, operated by Black Mountain Machine & Tool, is applicable to the business activities and includes a pursuit of opportunities in any and all industries for which BMM&T’s capacity, infrastructure, and expertise presents a sound market opportunity.

It is the intent of BMM&T to address applicable external and internal issues and the requirements of relevant interested parties in order to prevent any deleterious impact upon the QMS effectiveness.

BMM&T’s scope statement is as follows:

Black Mountain Machine & Tool Inc. provides machining of custom parts to specified customer drawings both locally and nationwide.

BMM&T manufactures parts made to the specifications of our customers, for this reason the following clauses of ISO 9001 that have been determined as non-applicable to the scope of our quality management system:

• Design and development (ISO 9001:2015 8.3)

Justification: BMM&T works to customer designs and has no design authority.

• Validation and revalidation (ISO 9001:2015 8.5.1-F)

Justification: All product characteristics are readily verified upon completion of the work. No special processes are used.

• Warranty (ISO 9001:2015 8.5.5-C)

Justification: Determination of warranty belongs to the product designer. Although BMM&T stands behind all of their work, no specific warranty is implied.
